Independence & flexibility

A bareboat charter is designed for clients who wish to take full command of the yacht themselves, either personally or through a designated member of their group acting as skipper.

Value privacy & freedom

Requirements

In order to operate the yacht under a bareboat arrangement, the designated skipper must meet the applicable qualification requirements, as described in the “Sailing Requirements & Licenses” section of our FAQ and Charter Guide. The skipper must hold the appropriate valid license, have sufficient sailing experience, and be able to safely navigate and manage the yacht throughout the charter period.

Under a bareboat charter, the client and designated skipper assume full responsibility for the yacht’s navigation, operation, safety, equipment, and overall management, in accordance with the charter agreement and the instructions provided during check-in and technical briefing. This includes route planning, weather monitoring, mooring, anchoring, use of onboard systems, and proper care of the vessel during the charter.
